1. Who this agreement covers

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of scalesource.com and app.scalesource.com (together, the “Site”), operated by ScaleSource (“ScaleSource,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site — including browsing, submitting information as a candidate, or accessing a candidate pool as a client — you agree to these Terms.

2. The Site's purpose

ScaleSource provides recruiting and staffing services, including sourcing and presenting candidates to client companies through personalized, access-controlled “candidate pools.” The Site is not a general job board; role information and candidate submissions are reviewed by our team, not guaranteed to result in any offer, placement, or interview.

3. Visitors submitting candidate information

If you submit your information as a prospective candidate (through a form, our chat widget, or by email), you consent to ScaleSource storing and using that information — including resume content, contact details, and any documents you provide — to evaluate you for potential opportunities and to share applicable, relevant portions with prospective client companies at our discretion. You may request removal of your information at any time by contacting us at team@scalesource.com.

4. Client access to candidate pools

Client company representatives are granted access to specific candidate pools via a unique link and passcode. This access is personal to the individual it was issued to, is revocable at any time by ScaleSource, and must not be shared outside your organization without our consent.

Candidate information shared through a pool is confidential and may only be used for your organization’s own hiring evaluation — not copied, redistributed, or used for any other purpose.

5. The chat assistant (“Scout”)

The Site includes an AI-assisted chat feature. Conversations through this feature may be recorded, stored, and reviewed by our team, and used to improve our services, train our systems, and follow up with you by email or other means.

Do not share sensitive personal information (for example, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or medical information) through the chat.

6. Accounts and access codes

You are responsible for keeping any sign-in credentials or access codes issued to you confidential, and for all activity under your account or code. Notify us immediately at team@scalesource.com if you believe your access has been compromised.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
Use the Site to scrape, harvest, or resell candidate or client data.
Attempt to access another user's account, pool, or data without authorization.
Upload malicious code.
Use the Site in a way that violates applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — text, design, branding, and software — is owned by ScaleSource or its licensors and may not be copied or used without permission, other than for your own evaluation of our services as intended.

9. No warranty

The Site and its content are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that any candidate will be suitable for any role, that any interview or placement will occur, or that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScaleSource is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including hiring decisions made based on information presented through it.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
